NICU Nurse Care Coordinator eQHealth Solutions, a leading healthcare quality improvement and utilization review organization, has an excellent employment opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse with an unrestricted Florida license. BS degree in Nursing and CPUR certification preferred. Position performs preauthorization medical review, including the application of medical necessity criteria, and identification of potential quality of care concerns, and renders accurate review determinations for babies in the NICU. Will work on special care connection project involving discharges of infants from NICU in five (5) hospitals in the greater Tampa Bay area. Initiates coordination with medical and other community resources for aftercare, prior to the infant's discharge. The successful candidate MUST have a minimum of two years clinical experience in the NICU. Strong working knowledge of utilization management and/or quality assurance review and ability to develop effective, positive working relationships with both internal and external contacts. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Milliman® Medical Necessity criteria. Position will require daily travel to various NICU locations.
